How long I want to live here? Well, I basically never wanted to live here, so I will admit I’d be happy to leave tomorrow, as long as the next place was one more preferable. I’m glad I finally got used to the place, and have gotten comfortable with the idea of being here for another year and a half, at least.
I think we’ll be here longer, however. Post-doctorate studies in Joe’s field at the labs pay quite well, and Joe’s been making plenty of good connections (see also: trip to Prague). Post-docs can go on for several years. Of course, he is excited by the idea of post-docs in other places, like Australia. In any case, though, it’s more likely we’ll stay here, because we’re somewhat familiar with the area and are comfortable.
I’d say at least three or four years, we’ll be here. I don’t want to be here long if we start a family, though.
