GPOYW: Big Fish in a Little Pond Edition. I was kind of the top dog at violin in high school. This photo was taken the day of my first solo with a full orchestra behind me, and was later published in the local newspaper.

Someone else’s sheet music. I don’t play cello, I play violin. I’ve been having nightmares (literally) about tuning it because the last time I tried to do it, I was drinking and the bridge popped out violently. Twice. I should be stretching out the strings, but I’m so traumatized that I’m sure I’m going to open the case and the whole violin will be in shambles.
